Wash­ing­ton Park Daily Hours & Fees

Daily park­ing fees will be charged on week­ends only begin­ning April 13, 2013. Park­ing fees will be charged daily begin­ning Mon­day, May 27, 2013 through Mon­day, Sep­tem­ber 2, 2013. Park­ing fees will charged on week­ends only after Labor Day. Park­ing hours are sub­ject to change.

Wash­ing­ton Park is open daily from 5 am to 10 pm, year round

Park­ing fees apply from 8 am to 9 pm and from 6 am to 10 pm dur­ing spe­cial events

Car and motor­cy­cle park­ing $7 per day

Trailer, bus or motorhome $14 per day.

Avail­able March 1, 2013 at the Clerks’s Office in City Hall, 100 E. Michi­gan Blvd., from 9 am to 4 pm, Mon­day through Friday.

Wash­ing­ton Park Beach Water Qual­ity Test­ing Program

Lake Michi­gan is tested for bac­te­ria lev­els daily at Wash­ing­ton Park Beach, Stop 2 at Cal­i­for­nia Avenue and Stop 7 at Beach­walk between Memo­r­ial Day and Labor Day. Test results will be posted the fol­low­ing day by 11 am on our web­site or on our beach hot­line num­ber 219.873.1406 x:390.

235 and below is an accept­able level of bac­te­ria and the beach will remain open

236 – 999 — an advi­sory will be issued, the beach will be open, but swim at your own risk

1,000 and above is unac­cept­able and the beach will be closed
